Smarter Travel Sutton invites you, your friends and family to take part in a FREE action filled afternoon of fun challenges and games. When: Saturday 31 May Where: Westcroft Leisure Centre and The Grove Park. Time: Register at 12 noon, finishes at 3.30pm with an awards ceremony. The fun kicks off at noon and you can take part by yourself or as a team, in a range of activities including a slow bike race, dance challenge, juggling lessons, welly throwing, egg, spoon and sack races and much more! There are great prizes up for grabs, as well as entertainment, food and a live broadcast from Radio Jackie. Bavarian market brings oom-pah to Sutton
From Friday 23rd May for 2 weeks
Dust off your lederhosen and head to Sutton town centre this Friday for the start of a two week Bavarian Market, complete with German food, oom-pah Music and a Bavarian beer garden. The family-friendly event will feature traditional stalls selling bratwurst, waffles, sweets, leather goods and more. Free music and entertainment will be staged in Millenium Gardens in the evening and at weekends. Sutton Council Town Centre Manager Emily Fahey said: "The market and entertainment will be great fun and serve up a taste of Germany in the town centre." Millenium Gardens will host oom-pah and jazz music, musicians and a beer garden every evening, offering something for everyone. During the day shoppers can sample Bavarian cuisine and browse traditional goods on eight excellent stalls.
It's sure to create a real buzz around the town centre and continue our drive to make Sutton a vibrant and exciting destination for people of all ages.

IMAGINE . . . . A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN JOIN IN WITH A WHOLE HOST OF EXCITING ARTS BASED ACTIVITIES.
Can you Imagine anything more exciting than having the opportunity to participate in some extraordinary and innovative projects as part of Sutton�s Imagine Festival which, now in its second year, takes place from 17th May to 1st June across the whole Borough teaming up with SCOLA's Adult Learner's Week which also starts on the 17th May. Following on from last years successful events why not join the teams from Libraries, Heritage, Sports, Youth Service, Ecology and Theatres as they present a wide range of art activities from creative art to performance art. The theme is participation and there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved. Even if you are not feeling particularly creative yourself there will be wonderful performances to watch, displays and exhibitions to view and events to enjoy in this Borough wide initiative. On Sunday 4th May at 6am there is a short walk to hear the birds sing (about 1 ½ hours) from outside St Mary's Church, Church Road in Beddington Park.
