Get more quality companies like the new Renault dealership into the Felnex trading estate. More local village style shops and more restaraunts (not takeaways) needed. Better parking facilities. The cleared site opposite the shops is very important to the future of Hackbridge this should be used very wisely and should incorporate all of the above plus new appartments.

I disagree that Hackbridge has good transport links. The trains are continually packed to capacity, the buses go absolutely nowhere you want to go to, and the tram is great, but quite a walk if it's raining. I think that the best thing would be for the government to go back to their original plans for extending the M23 up from Hooley all the way to Streatham, right past Hackbridge with a junction up at Mitcham Junction. This would give us fast access out of London and making the trip down to Gatwick Airport quick, easy and direct. It will also remove 90% of the traffic driving past our houses. See the original plans at: http://www.cbrd.co.uk/histories/m23/
