Renewable Energy Systems for Your Home

The Green Deal is a government funding scheme to be launched later this year that will assist people installing solar power or making their homes more energy efficient.  BioRegional are hosting a free workshop all about installing Renewable Energy and how to pay for it.  Alan Harris from The Power Assesment and Training Centre at Carshalton College is presenting this free workshop which will take place at BioRegional's office in BedZED this Wednesday 30 May 2012 from 5.30-8.00pm.  The workshop will provide an overview of renewable energy technologies for home installations.  It will look at the benefits and limitations of solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and air source heat pumps.  You will learn how these technologies operate, how they can be integrated into your home and what funding schemes are available to help pay for them.

There will also be an optional guided tour of the interactive One Planet Experience multimedia exhibition which tells the London 2012 sustainability story and inspires visitors to save energy and reduce waste.

The session is free but please book your place by contacting Stephen Edwards stephen.edwards@bioregional.com, tel. 020 8404 4896.  Refreshments will be provided.
