Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage at the Westway Beacons, London
This 128-home social housing development boasts the first UK application of Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage. Sustainable design specialists Fulcrum Consulting recommended the innovative method of taking heat from the underground aquifer in the winter to heat the homes, and put heat back in the summer to cool the homes.
