The Green Transport Plan at BedZED

The aim of the Green Transport Plan was to reduce reliance on fossil fuelled private cars and encourage alternative methods of transport. Car mileage at BedZED is roughly half that of the local average.

BedZED hosts London's first ever car club which is run by City Car Clubs. Car Clubs reduce car ownership and mileage and still offer the convenience of having access to a car whenever you need it and there are also free charging points for electric vehicles

Vélo'v, Grand Lyon Bike Hire

In Lyon there are bikes for hire at 340 stations across the city, approximately one every 300 metres. By buying a card, similar to an oyster card you can hire a bike from anywhere in the city and return to any other registered location. With the first 30 minutes of a journey being free you could in theory never pay for cycling and never have to have the hassle of owning a bike. There are also different types of cards for ‘heavy’ or ‘light’ users.
