Sutton is a relatively affluent, enterprising borough, with diverse communities that are mostly amongst the least deprived areas of England. But there are inequalities in income, housing and education.

A sustainable Sutton will also be inclusive, providing goods and services that are accessible to everyone. Tackling inequalities from income to physical access will help everyone fully participate in this thriving community. A thriving, equitable local economy based upon our own enterprise is the mark of an empowered, inclusive Sutton.
