Tern TV are making a new 10 part series to prove you can use reclaimed goods to do up your home. They are looking for kitchens and bathrooms to refit, lofts, garages or community centres to transform, using local materials from a variety of places (including Croydon's new ReIY store).
They are currently looking for people that want to refurbish their homes for a TV programme and this is where you can get involved. Here is what they have to say:
"Is your home in need of some essential maintenance? You've saved some money to do the work, but the professional quotes are sky high and way beyond your budget. Have you ever considered it might be possible, using reclaimed and salvaged goods, to transform your home at a fraction of the cost?
It's time to call in the professional reclaimers. The team from Tern TV will be in and around the areas of South East England, Glasgow & Scotland's Central belt, Manchester & Greater Manchester proving that you don't need mega bucks to transform the look of your home.
We're visiting demolition sites, new build projects, building sites, private houses, you name it, we'll be there going through skips to find those unwanted treasures. If you think our team can help you, be it refitting your kitchen or bathroom, transforming your loft or garage or even sprucing up a community centre you're involved in, then we want to hear from you.
Contact us on our Reclamation Hotline: 0141 241 6070 or Reclamation Email: property@terntv.com
Many thanks!
The Reclamation Team."

In partnership with a range of organisations, including B&Q and BioRegional, Sutton Council have secured funding to trial two different approaches to energy retrofit in Sutton. Hackbridge has been declared one of 10 Low Carbon Zones in London and residents will be offered free basic energy efficiency measures (such as loft insulation, and energy saving lightbulbs) and training in how to save energy in their homes.
